Located in Mocksville, right off I-40, Raylen is a staple winery in the internationally-recognized, federally-approved Yadkin Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA), of North Carolina. RayLen Vineyards is a charter member of the AVA. Now there are over 200 wineries in North Carolina, with RayLen Vineyards a leading pioneer of the Yadkin Valley. The winery is named after the two daughters of the owners. Raylen is an immense property with over 35,000 vines,but has a small family feel. The tasting room is spacious and their staff is knowledgeable. Raylen offers lots of space outside and a separate venue area to enjoy a glass or bottle of their 2019 Viognier or 2018 Category 5, our favorites. It’s a great place to meet up with friends, especially large groups. Raylen is pet and child friendly. They are open 7 days a week for tastings, private parties and corporate events. No need for a reservation just grab a picnic (or enjoy a food truck) and friends and stop by for an afternoon of great wine and views. Having made multiple trips to Greensboro we often stop by for a glass.
