Afternoon thunderstorms in the south are common during the hot, humid summer months. During our visit to some of Georgia’s wineries we had to ride out a storm at Frogtown Winery. Walking up to the front door you feel like you are visiting an old friend. The huge front porch and Koi pond. When you enter you are greeted with an old west style saloon bar. The winemakers only use Georgia fruit. The wines of Frogtown are made according to French and Italian winemaking practices. There is both seating inside and a covered area outside. Their wine tasting consists of wine flights of 3 wines a 2oz pour each. Not only did we enjoy every wine we tasted, but their Bistro is out of this world. The wait staff were knowledgeable on the menu as well as the wines. This venue is amazing for private events or corporate parties. Definitely a return visit is in order.
