Dobbins Creek Winery
Dobbins Creek Winery is located in the Yadkin Valley, a short drive from Charlotte and Asheville. As with several wineries of the Yadkin Valley region the winery started out as tobacco land. They have remained true to their roots serving great wine in a relaxing atmosphere. Charles King, owner of Dobbins Creek, originally planned to grow grapes and sell them to other wineries, but changed his mind and decided to produce his own wine. His tasting room opened 2006 and what a beautiful tasting room it is. As beautiful as the tasting room is the front porch steals the show with ample seating areas, breathtaking views and a welcome breeze in the summer. This isn’t a taste and leave kind of place. Grab a glass of award winning Riesling or Ram Cat Red and enjoy the afternoon. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and blanket and sit under the huge tree a short walk from tasting room. Leashed dogs are also welcome.
