Brandon Hills Vineyard
I love small family owned wineries and Brandon Hills is one of my favorites. We have been twice and when you walk in the door Justin greets you like an old friend. His smile is contagious and both times had the people of the bar entertained. Larry and Elizabeth are the owners and have created a small estate winery. All the grapes are grown on the property and bottled at Windsor Run. The tasting room is cozy and they offer many wine accessories for purchase. You can enjoy a tasting, flights, glass or bottle. The tasting includes all wines and a glass for $15. This is an absolute deal. My favorite was the 2018 Dry Riesling until I tasted the newly released 2020 Vognier and that became my favorite. Their reds are smooth and easy drinking even for this white wine drinker. They offer sweet wines that are perfect for a summer day. There is covered seating outside. Brandon Hills also doubles as a venue for weddings or corporate events. I love the intimate, cozy atmosphere of Brandon Hills. The last time we went a regular had brought homemade peach cobbler to share with everyone. The way Justin and the regulars interacted reminded of the sitcom Cheers. They are open to the public Friday-Sunday. If you are in the Yadkin Valley Brandon HIlls is a must visit.
