Mason Jar lid pies

Don't want to make a whole pie? This recipe is perfect for 2 or 4 people.

Mason Jar lid pies


  • Preheat oven to 375

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  • Using cookie cutter or larger rim cut out 8 circles

  • Cut 2 slits into 4 of the circles

  • Place the lid rubber side down in the rim

  • Place the not slit circles in the rims making sure to press crust up the edges

  • Fill will desired pie filling

  • Place 1/2 pat of butter on each pie

  • Cover the pie with the remaining crusts

  • Brust egg over pie

  • Bake for 30 minutes and allow to cool 20 minutes

  • Garnish with glaze or chocolate if desired


  • 4 Mason jar lids and rims

  • round cookie cutter or bigger size Mason jar rim than you are using for pie

  • fruit pie filling (apple must be diced to use)

  • 2 pie crusts

  • 2 pats of butter

  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash

  • glaze if desired
