Easy 3 step bars with a key ingredient

Lemon bars


  • Preheat oven 350 degrees.

  • Cream butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 cups flour until crumble mixture.

  • Press dough mixture into a 9*13 pan.  Make sure pan has deep sides.

  • Bake 20-30 minutes until golden brown.

  • Combine eggs, 1/4 cup flour, 2 cups sugar and baking powder.

  • Stir in lemon contentrate.  I like to squeeze in a little pure lemon juice for a little extra flavor.

  • Pour over the warm crust and bake for additional 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.

  • Mix together 1 cup powdered sugar (maybe a little more), 4 Tbls. lemonade concentrate and I like to squeeze in a little more lemon juice and lemon zest.

  • Pour over cooled bars and cut after glaze has set.


  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 sticks room temperature butter

  • 1/2 cup and 4 Tbls. frozed lemonade concentrate, thawed

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 lemon
