Half Homemade Chili

15 minutes cook
simmer as long as you have until serving


As the days get cooler a bowl of chili can hit the spot. This half homemade recipe is easy for busy weeknights.

Half Homemade Chili


  • Brown meat in a pan and drain off any fat

  • Prepare chili mix according to the directions.  Replace 1/2 to all of the water with Bloody Mary mix.  

  • Add beans and tomatoes. Stir

  • If too thick add water or more bloody mary mix.  If too thin use the thickening agent included in the mix.

  • Allow to simmer for as long as you have until serving.


  • 2 lbs of ground meat (I use meatless crumbles)

  • Chili starter mix (I use Carroll Shelby's chili kit)

  • 2 cans of beans of your choice

  • 2 can of diced tomatoes of your choice

  • Bloody Mary mix (I use Lu Mill Vineyards mix)
