Grilled Cherry Tart

This dessert is a slow cook process. It can go on after you finish grilling your meal and cook while you eat.

Grilled Cherry Tart


  • In a cast iron pan spread a layer of butter (not melted) on the bottom and sides 

  • Lay the crust in pan

  • Spread the pie filling within about an inch of edge

  • Fold over the edges to form a crust

  • Place on indirect heat in a grill 350-400 degrees

  • Check every 15 minutes 

  • Doneness will depend on your grill


  • prepared roll out crust (allow to rest at room temperature 20 minutes)

  • cherry pie filling 

  • egg white

  • butter
