This dessert is nothing short of sinful. It will cost you a few more burpees but it is totally worth it.

Godiva Chocolate Brownies

Directions

  • Brownies

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Spray a 8*8 pan.

  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave.  Be careful not to burn. Set it aside to cool.

  • In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.  Beat in one egg at a time.  With the mixer on low, drizzle in the melted chocolate.  Add the chocolate liqueur and mix.  

  • Add the flour and mix until just combined.  Do not over mix.

  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes until the middle is set.  

  • Set aside to cool completely.

  • Icing

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, salt and liquer. 

  • Whip until icing is the consistency you want.  You may have to add more liqueur is too thick.  Should be light and fluffy.

  • Spread a very thick layer over brownies.  Place in refrigerator until firm then slice into tiny pieces.  A little is plenty.

  • 2 sticks butter, softened

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 3 tsp. Godiva dark chocolate liqueur

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • Icing

  • 2 sticks butter, softened

  • 5 cups powdered sugar

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 3 tsp. Godiva dark chocolate liqueur
