NORTH CAROLINA WINERIES

Charles and I found ourselves empty nesters after our second son went to college.  We have always liked wine (him red and me white).  We met Sofia from Overmountain Vineyards at a local brewery and fell in love with their wines.  We went on a Sunday to her winery with some friends, and we were hooked.  That was a great afternoon.  We decided to make it our empty nest goal to visit every winery in North Carolina.  Now there are over 200! I haven't been one to have a hobby, but visiting wineries has become my hobby. On this page, I will blog about our winery adventures. In no way am I giving wine reviews. I know what I like, which may or may not be what you want.  So, this page will not be reviews of wine. Instead, it will be telling about our winery experience. There are no bad reviews when there is good wine and great friends.
